Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince [Blu-ray] (2009)

The sixth installment of the Harry Potter series starts right where the Order of the Phoenix left off. This magical world rocked by news that "He Who Must Not Be Named" has really come back, and viewers finally knew that Harry was the "Chosen One" - the only one who can defeat the wizard Lord Voldemort in the end. Dark forces loom in every corner, and now regularly attempt to penetrate the protected walls of Hogwarts School. This is no longer the world of fun and exciting magic of a few books were dark, dangerous, and frightening.

Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) suspects Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) to become the new Death Eaters recruit on a special mission for the Prince of Darkness. Meanwhile, Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) seems to finally remove the shroud of secrecy from Harry about the dark street in front, and even a private tutor to make him ready. There are scenes in this charming dark past Tom Riddle (aka Voldemort) finally revealed. Act as different actors younger version Riddle (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin and Frank Dillane) did a fantastic job describing criminals as frightening a child. While the earlier films' many new characters can be a bit excessive, only one new key characters are introduced this time: Professor Horace Slughorn (with a point-performance by Jim Broadbent). In his mind he held the secret key in the battle to defeat the Prince of Darkness, and Harry was assigned by Dumbledore to reveal the dark memories about Voldemort's weapons - Horcrux. Despite a long list of disorders, Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) is still trying to focus on being a teenager, and the audience will enjoy the awkward romance buds. All the actors have been well developed, giving the appearance of their most convincing-to-date.

More dramatic and the things that significant falls in this film than its predecessor, and the stakes higher than ever before. Creator has been served with a nearly impossible challenge, as fans of JK Rowling's beloved series of books is like watching a movie to capture the magic of the book as closely as possible. Unfortunately, the point where people accept that these two very different media is the point where people can really enjoy this brilliant adaptation. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is no exception: it may be the best movie yet. For those who have not read the book, nail-biting entertainment is guaranteed. For those who have, whether it's the film justice. The key dramatic scenes, including a cave and a surprising twist in the last chapter, very well executed. It's the perfect job to prepare two-part grand finale that follows. - Jordan Thompson
