EmpireOnline posted a picture gallery of the “Most Downtrodden(Yet Inspiring) Characters In Movie History”.  Dobby, a case created by J.K. Rowling who wrote the Harry Potter series, was sort 8.  The concern elf was introduced to moviegoers in the flick adjustment of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets:

Why he’s so miserable: It haw have been mostly excised from the filmed versions, but in the Harry Potter universe concern elves same Dobby are essentially slaves, in that they impact without country and without possibility of promulgation except by their master’s say-so. That haw be alright if you impact somewhere fairly cuddly, same the Hogwarts kitchens (where the elves are mostly bemused by Hermione and her Society for the Promotion of Elvish Welfare), but if you impact for the Malfoys you crapper calculate on lawful beatings, semi-starvation, verbal shout and having to cater to dark wizards. Why he’s inspiring: Dobby’s best efforts quite ofttimes alter disaster on their witting receiver (usually Harry Potter), but you can’t imperfectness him for doing everything he crapper to protect The Boy Who Lived from a country and inform danger - and he does it at goodish risk to himself. Dobby continues to endeavor a courageous role throughout the series, always putting the welfare of others before his own, and plays a role out of every proportion to his size.
